Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day to you all!  We are taking it easy this weekend.  Enjoying the long weekend.  We are going to do some work around home but not too much.  We have some home improvement projects plans for here at home.  We're in the process of updating out kitchen.  Not a total replacement, just a facelift.  We have painted the cabinets and installed new hardware.  Our next project is new counter tops and trying to find a black fridge that won't break the bank.  LOL

We have plans to redo our master bathroom and put in a HUGE shower where the garden tub is.  It is old and doesn't get used anyway.  It would be sooooooo awesome to have a tile shower.  Kevin has some great ideas for it.  Can't wait to do it and show the results!  I think we have more contemporary tastes now.  We used to be totally country and we are seeming to lean toward the cleaner lines now.  It's funny how your taste changes as you get older.

We wish you all the blessings that the Lord grants you and until next time...

Loft bed

This is a loft bed that Kevin made for our daughter, when she was 8 years old, out of 2x4's, some prefabbed shelving and a spring and matress from an old daybed.  He did a great job on this bed. She still sleeps in it, but has gotten too big for the slide.

Grand Opening!!

We are finally open!!  We have been planning this since 2007.  We are so excited to finally be working toward making this a full time operation.  We are still part time right now since we both still have other jobs.  We're willing to do what we can to make this work.  The Lord is a HUGE part of it.  We prayed for months that he would give us direction and show us the path that we were supposed to take.  Then, those doors just started opening.  We took the hint and started leaping through them.  We've been so busy during the last month that we are exhausted.  We're delightfully exhausted though because we are making our dream come true.  We are allowing the Lord to work in our lives and it is totally paying off!

We are just about to complete a partial bathroom remodel.  We have redone the flooring in 2 bathrooms in a client's home, replaced the vanity tops in the same bathrooms and tiled a backsplash in each one.  What an awesome experience it was to see it come together.  Once we are fully finished, we will post photos.
